At a New York Climate Week event on 20 September, World Bank president David Malpass repeatedly refused to confirm that he accepted climate science, prompting hundreds of groups and individuals to call for the president's resignation or replacement.
Although President Malpass has attempted to retract his statements, the Bank's record of climate inaction under his leadership speaks for itself.
